Overview
Zombie's Cool is a growth-type shooting action game in which you have to mop up zombies that frequently pop up in town while searching for the root of the zombie virus.
Weapon System
- Single Shot Pistol: Unlimited use but weak firepower.
- Machine Gun: Low damage per bullet but high firing speed for quick damage output.
- Shotgun: Short range but deals heavy damage to multiple enemies.
- Launcher: Inflicts explosion and physical damage to multiple enemies, plus flame damage that spreads between zombies.
- Laser Gun: One-shot kill on any enemy, but usable only once per game.
- Double-handed Pistols: Shots bounce irregularly off enemies to hit others. Lucky shots can eliminate multiple foes at once.
- Gunkata: Fire double-handed pistols at random in a cool pose. Usable once per stage after unlocked.
Most weapons can be upgraded. The game starts Souls-like in difficulty but becomes pure Warriors-style action by the end.
Stage Types
- Normal Stage: Eliminate all enemies to earn coins. Nighttime sub-type increases zombie attack power; you rely only on muzzle flash for light.
- Death Race Stage: Exterminate zombies within a time limit using a zombie car.
- Baseball Stage: Stop zombies rushing to home with baseballs.
- Barricade Stage: Prevent zombies from breaking through a barricade.
- Escort Stage: Guide survivors to the escape point.
- Big Escape Stage: Drive a tank to escape while defeating swarming enemies.
- Boss Stage: Defeat five bosses with varied attack patterns to progress.
Coins and Upgrades
Upgrade weapons and player abilities using coins earned in combat. Your combo chain increases with each enemy kill and grants more coins, but breaks if you take damage or go too long without killing. Replaying earlier stages to farm coins and upgrade makes previously difficult stages manageable.
Difficulty Levels
Normal and Hard difficulties feature stronger zombies and bosses than Easy mode, offering a different experience with diverse enemy types from early on.
Enemy Types
- Walker: Slow-moving, good coin source.
- Rusher: Charges aggressively once close.
- Smasher: High defense and attack power with good mobility.
- Eater: Slowest but strongest defense; absorbs bullets like a sponge.
- Helldog: Weakest defense but leaps constantly, keeping you busy.
- Crawler: Crawls while spitting acid, requiring constant judgment and control.
