A fast-paced 2D top-down shoot 'em up with single-player and split-screen co-op. Pilot a drone, fight alien hordes, plant and grow bio-weapons, and survive procedurally generated battlefields in a fusion of action and strategy.
The B.L.O.O.M (Biotech Lethal Offensive Organic Munitions) Initiative is a fast-paced 2D top-down shoot 'em up where you pilot a drone through procedurally generated battlefields.
Your mission: gather resources, plant lethal bio-organisms, and defend your bases from relentless alien and native species on the hostile planet Shlee.
Start in a basic training drone as you learn to build, plant, and fight, then dive into intense battles as two aggressive alien factions take an interest in your expanding operations.
Upgrade your drone, adapt your strategies, and survive against overwhelming odds in this fusion of action and strategy.
Build, test, and play your own levels using the same editor we used for the campaign and survival modes. Orchestrate enemy waves and boss encounters with precise timing, script on-screen briefings and prompts, choose your biome, map size, and starting funds, and set objectives like survival, relic hunts, or kill targets. Drop in spawners, buildings, resources, and power-ups, toggle weather effects, and tweak difficulty and time-of-day—then jump straight into the game to playtest and iterate. When you’re happy, package it up and share it with the community via Steam Workshop.
Design weapons inside the game from thousands of combinations. Load existing builds, set a custom weapon for your loadout, or start fresh from built-in templates like Spiral, Laser, and Missile. Edit, rename, and manage your creations, delete what you don’t need, and jump straight back into play to test them with your custom levels - no external tools required. These too can be shared with the community.
