Space Beast Terror Fright

S.B.T.F. is a very hard arcade-style / rogue-like / perma-death first person shooter. You play as Marines who must brave dark, claustrophobic and terrifyingly intense Space Beast infested spacecraft in order to extract critical data and lucrative upgrades. Can you make it out alive?

Gameplay

The game revolves around procedurally generated maze-like spacecraft that are unique each time. Marines must search out DataCores to download while fighting extremely lethal Beasts in dark and hostile environments. The objective is to retrieve all critical data and set the Reactor core to overload.

Marines start with either automatic Rifles or powerful Shotguns, plus a rudimentary Tracker device that detects nearby motion and distance to the nearest DataCore. DataCores contain lucrative Upgrades including better ammunition, improved motion trackers, and other functionality that significantly increase survival chances.

Strategy

Intelligent use of Doors is key to managing unknown spaces. Sealing sections behind the team prevents being overwhelmed from multiple directions, though closed Doors also make it harder to flee if needed. Automated Sentry robots scattered throughout the spacecraft can be activated to aid in stemming the tide of Space Beasts, offering significant firepower that can mean the difference between life and death. Friendly fire incidents can still occur despite Sentries being programmed to avoid firing when Marines are in their field of fire.

Objectives

Once all DataCores are retrieved, disable all Reactor Coolants to destroy the spacecraft. Marines then have 90 seconds to reach the Airlock for extraction before the Reactor overloads.
