Scratch Off! is a deck-building roguelike built around scratch cards. You start with a basic deck, a wallet with no coins, and a landlord who wants his rent. From there, every decision you make shapes your run. Each turn you pick which cards to commit, scratch them one by one, and watch the numbers add up. Land a full board of positives and you trigger a jackpot. Hit too many skulls and your total tanks. Coins you collect along the way trigger automatically as you scratch, multiplying values, punishing bad luck, and occasionally saving you from disaster. Between rounds you visit the shop. Buy new cards, add upgrades, grab a coin from the checkpoint cases. Slowly you build something that works, or something that completely falls apart at the worst possible time.
A scratch card game with actual depth Every card type plays differently. The standard card is a safe workhorse. Diamond cards have brutal skull penalties but enormous clover payouts. Slot cards are one pull from winning everything or losing it all. The Coin is a single cell, pure gambling. Coins you collect permanently change how the game plays. Stack cherry multipliers. Build a deck around a single card type. Let the landlord win once, unlock the deck that turns every broken coin into a skull, and try again.
Unlock new decks by playing Every deck unlocks through gameplay, not menus. Win your first run to unlock the Gold Rush deck. Earn minus ten dollars from a single card to unlock No Mercy. The unlock conditions push you to try things you normally would not. Eight decks in total, each with a modifier that changes the rules of the run. Rent targets go up forty percent. Your hand size shrinks by one. Everything costs less but the shop charges ten times the normal price after you pick up a certain coin. Build a run, not just a round Scratch Off! rewards players who think across the whole run, not just the current turn. A coin that feels weak early can be the difference between paying rent on the final group or falling a few dollars short. Removing a bad card now saves you from dead weight later. The runs are short enough that losing does not sting for long. Long enough that when something clicks and your scratch totals keep climbing, it feels earned.
