A hardboiled, fully voiced visual novel set in Hong Kong and Thailand in 2007. While this game serves as a prequel to the 2014-set Red Spider: Vengeance, it is structured as a standalone story and can be fully enjoyed by newcomers to the series.
The Outcomes of Destiny Are Unalterable
Uncompromising violence, love, hate, and betrayal. This work is a heavy, mature noir piece reminiscent of masterpiece Hong Kong movies. Featuring a "pure multi-story" structure with almost no common routes, the narrative branches off into completely different directions based on the chosen partner. Whichever path you choose, the "fatal destiny" of those who cross paths with the protagonist, Lycoris(Yvet), remains unchanged. Within this inescapable doom, her karma as an assassin and her way of life are relentlessly exposed.
What is revealed at the end of these harsh battles is the "origin" of the entire saga—why she, a former assassin, and Yongxiao—two individuals from completely different worlds—came to choose each other as unique partners. Set in 2007. Lycoris, a cold-blooded assassin raised in the underworld organization "Spider Web," is ordered to eliminate her acquaintance, a police officer named Lai. Instead, she defies the order, kills the client—Lai's superior, Lau Kin-ming—and goes on the run from the organization.
With Lai's help, she finds refuge with the triad syndicate "Red Flower Society." Arranged by their leader, Yeung Kwun, she flees to Thailand. But her past refuses to let her go.
