Patapon 1+2 Replay

Overview

PATAPON is an action adventure where players use the rhythm of 4 Mystical Drums to command cute and mysterious eyeball-like creatures known as Patapons. As the player, you are the God of the Patapons and lead them on a grand adventure to Earthend.

Gameplay Mechanics

The game combines simple controls with strategic combat. Controls are comprised of rhythmic beating of four drums: Pata (left), Pon (right), Don (down), Chaka (up). Strategic elements include using the right battle commands during the right situation and creating an army comprised of different Patapon classes.

Patapon Classes

All Patapons have unique characteristics and classes (jobs). Examples include the Hatapon who leads from the center, the Tatepon who protects with a large shield, and the Yumipon who attacks by shooting arrows. Each class plays a different role during battle, allowing you to create a unique and well-rounded army.

Customization and Progression

Patapons can be made or enhanced using various items. Stronger Patapons can be created by gathering materials from stages and minigames. The game contains 400 weapons and equipment to enhance and upgrade your Patapons.

Content

PATAPON and PATAPON 2 are packaged as a remastered set, originally released in 2007 and 2008.

Quality of Life Features

New support features have been added for a more enjoyable gaming experience, including adjustable difficulty (Easy, Normal, Hard), adjustable button press timing, and persistent drum icon display.
