Letterally is a deck-building roguelike where you craft words and your deck of letter tiles. Build powerful synergies, collect game-breaking items, and outsmart rule-bending bosses in this turn-based strategic word game.
Letterally is a strategic, turn-based roguelite where vocabulary is your weapon. This isn't just about knowing long words. It's about finding game-breaking synergies and creating powerful combos. With the right setup, you can break the game... or you can fall back on your natural wordsmithing skills to snatch victory.
Your main goal is to conquer a 10-level board. Each level is a three-stage gauntlet:
Clear all 10 levels to beat the board, or test your limits by continuing into Endless Mode, where the difficulty constantly increases.
Between stages, visit the Shop. This is where your run takes shape. Spend coins to create a game-breaking build from a huge pool of powerups:
During stages you can trigger Cell Modifiers to gain instant advantages like score multipliers, extra coins, or free shop items.
The bosses in Letterally don't just score points; they rewrite the rules. You'll have to adapt your strategy to foes like:
Meta-Progression: Complete tasks to unlock new Totems, Enhancements, and items that will appear in all future runs.
Unlock New Boards: Conquer all 10 levels to unlock new, harder game boards (10 in total), each with its own twist.
Endless Mode: Continue past level 10 to challenge yourself and set new records.
Multiple Difficulty Levels: Choose the challenge that suits you, from beginner to grand master.
Challenge Modes: Test your skills in unique scenarios:
Vs. CPU Vanilla: A pure 1v1 duel. No powerups, just skill.
Bingo: You must score a 7+ letter "bingo" on every single turn.
Treasure Hunt: Collect all coins on the board within a limited number of turns.
With its deep strategic systems and potential for game-breaking combos, Letterally is the perfect game for strategic masterminds and powerhouse players alike, all set to a chill lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack by Ketsa.
