About the Game a shot of shoot'em up, a note of rhythm game and a touch of platformer: the explosive cocktail of LavaLoop!
Three musician-fighters with their own unique skills. Will you choose : Noë, Champion of combos 🎹 armed with a cannon-hook-piano-arm, Manita, the mushroom dancer 🍄 who only fights hand-to-hand, Or Léonie, the fishier-knight who machine-guns fish 🐟 in every direction.
The fun of rhythm games 🎵 without the difficulty! Move in rhythm to be rewarded with explosive combos, never penalised. Each enemy moves and attacks to its own score, creating a procedural soundtrack. Learn their moves to counter-attack in style! And an easy mode greatly reduces the rhythmic demands :)
Meticulous art direction for an edgy gameplay inspired by the greatest arcade shooters from 👾 Space Invaders to Cuphead.
A mad queen has launched the construction of a giant power station: The Drill. The planet now vibrates to the rhythm of this infernal machine, and one natural disaster follows another...
It all starts in my sketchbooks, where I create a world bursting with punk spirit. I was inspired by the retro-futuristic style found in the works of Jules Vernes and the cartoons of Hayao Miyazaki. The player will travel through 5 worlds with eclectic styles and musics, and discover an ecological fable about the cycle of life and creativity.
I'm a solo developer, creator of Iris and the Giant (Goblinz Studio), as well as a pop-up book illustrator, graphic designer and 2D animator. I started coding about fifteen years ago. For almost two years now, I've been putting everything aside to launch LavaLoop.
LavaLoop is a short, intense gaming experience, a fable about the destruction of nature and the hold technology has on our lives, but also a tribute to artistic and musical creativity.
