Dolven is a narrative-driven tactical RPG where combat fuses party-based skills with poker-style card combos and deckbuilding.

In this dark fantasy world, you command a band of mercenaries against the Dungeon Master who rules each cursed dungeon. Battles unfold on a grid-based battlefield where positioning, timing, and strategy are as important as the hand of fate you hold.

A First-of-Its-Kind Combat System

At the heart of Dolven lies a unique blend of classic RPG combat and poker-inspired deckbuilding. Your mercenaries wield swords, bows, and spells through traditional RPG abilities with additional buffs coming from the cards in your hand.

Form poker-style combinations called a 'Rune Combo' such as pairs, straights, and flushes to earn extra mana with which to unlock more cards, empowering your party to turn the tide of battle. Every duel is more than a clash of steel—it’s a contest against the Dungeon Master himself, with you as his opponent, that's two dungeon masters facing off.

A Dark Fantasy Journey

Dolven is more than a dungeon crawl. It is a battle against the Dungeon Master, a struggle against fate, and a journey into the heart of a dark fantasy curse in the search for a missing girl.

• In the Stronghold, the werewolf Witherfang hides a chilling secret...and a missing child.
• In the Freewood Forest, twisted fairytale creatures obey the cruel will of Atrisia Ven.
• In the icy peaks, you’ll face Drulk the Ogre and his band of brutish misfits—watch out, he’s hungering for fresh meat.

And if you survive these trials, your path will lead you to Yongul, a figure cloaked in power and secrets. He is not what he seems—and when his truth is revealed, you must decide what fate awaits Dolven.

Will you break the curse, or be consumed by it? Will you find the girl—or lose her to the darkness? Will you honor your oath—or betray it for a greater cause?

Deckbuilding & Strategy

Players construct a deck made up of two main card types:

• Mercenary Cards – Summon warriors, rogues, and mages to the battlefield.
• Spell Cards – Cast magical effects, buffs, debuffs, or alter the battlefield itself.

Each card belongs to one of three archetypes—Strength (Red), Dexterity (Green), or Intelligence (Blue). Arrange Mercenary cards on the Pillars to form hands like pairs, flushes, or straight flushes. The in-game Compendium lists every possible combo and the rewards they bring.

As you battle through Dolven’s maze of dungeons, you’ll customize your deck and collect gear to prepare for deadlier enemies ahead.
