California Games II

Overview

The original California Games - first released in 1987 - is considered by many to be one of the best games from the late 8-bit era. By the time California Games II came out in 1990, 16-bit home computers had become commonplace, with the Amiga, Atari ST and SNES among the launch platforms. Now available officially on Steam for the first time.

Five Events

• Hang Gliding at San Francisco's Fort Funston, overlooking the Pacific Ocean
• Snowboarding from the top of Mt. Epyx all the way back down to the beach
• Jet Surfing in Monterey Bay for the Santa Cruz Jet Surfing Competition
• Bodyboarding in the Santa Cruz Bodyboarding Invitational
• Skateboarding down the California Aqueduct

Gameplay

Easy to play but hard to master. One to eight players compete to score well in every event. Points are awarded based on your ranking among competitors. The player with the most points earns the title of Supreme Dude. Break the record for an event and your name is recorded on the Most Excellent Dudes screen.
