After the End is a top-down dark fantasy action RPG set in a broken world after Ragnarok, where exploration replaces guidance and meaning must be found, not given.
Ragnarok came. The world did not end.
It simply… broke.
You awaken on a shattered northern shore with no memory, marked by a faint rune glowing beneath your skin.
Midgard lies quiet and wounded. Villages have burned. Forests twist with something unnatural. The gods are gone, but their absence has not brought peace.
Something lingers.
Something watches.
And somehow, it knows you.
Combat is grounded, dangerous, and intentional. Every encounter demands awareness. Timing, positioning, and restraint matter more than speed.
Enemies are not obstacles. They are threats.
From stalking Dökkálfar to coordinated wolf packs and lingering spirits, each enemy behaves differently and forces you to adapt.
There are no glowing markers. No forced paths.
You are free to wander through ruined villages, frozen coastlines, forgotten shrines, and shadowed forests, discovering what matters by instinct, not instruction.
If something feels important, it probably is.
The story is not handed to you.
It lives in what remains. In abandoned homes, broken structures, and the words of those still clinging to life.
Every place holds a piece of something larger. Understanding it is up to you.
The mark beneath your skin reacts to the world, and the world reacts to it.
Its origin is unclear. Its purpose is worse.
As it grows, so does your connection to something long forgotten.
Develop your character through two distinct paths:
Each path offers power, but neither offers answers.
Weapons and armor are remnants of what came before, worn, altered, and etched with purpose.
Nothing is pristine. Everything has a history.
What you carry may matter more than you realize.

Creatures shaped by divine ruin still roam the land. Some driven by instinct, others by something far more unsettling.

Track your discoveries through a physical journal, flipping between quests, maps, skills, and notes like a record of something slowly being uncovered.
